FAQS ABOUT cosmetic DENTISTRY

Before and after teeth

WHY SHOULD I SEE A COSMETIC DENTIST?

A cosmetic dentist is trained to provide a variety of treatments that are designed to enhance the natural beauty of your smile. If you have chipped teeth, you feel that your teeth are crooked, or you don't like the space between your teeth, an aesthetic dentist can help you achieve a beautiful natural smile you've always wanted.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER AESTHETIC DENTAL CARE?

Insurance coverage, and out-of-pocket expenses for aesthetic treatment vary. At Clark Dental Group, our front desk staff will work with you and provide several treatment options, and we will coordinate with your insurance provider if coverage is available. You will know up-front all treatment costs so that you can choose the best plan for your needs, and your budget.

HOW LONG WILL EACH TREATMENT TAKE?

Just like you, every smile we treat is unique, so are the treatments we provide. While cosmetic treatment times may vary, many treatments are completed within one office visit.

IS TEETH WHITENING, THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR ME?

Patients who experience beneficial results from having their teeth whitened:

  • Maintain excellent dental health (i.e. brush at least twice a day, floss and receive regular dental checkups.)
  • May suffer from discolored teeth
  • Would like to improve the look or brightness of their smile
  • Are in good physical health

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS WITH TEETH WHITENING?

Teeth whitening does not typically include any significant negative side effects. Some minor side effects may consist of:

Increased sensitivity in your teeth to hot or cold
In some cases you may notice white spots or lines on the surface of the teeth (this may be a side effect of at-home whitening systems)
